Stang is a personal finance app made by SMBee. We take your privacy seriously. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address, used only to identify your account.
- Financial data you enter — transaction names, amounts, categories, and dates. Stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS). Only you can access your data.
- Receipt images — photos or PDFs you attach to transactions are stored securely alongside your transaction data. Only you can view them.
- Billing data — if you upgrade, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 on the landing page only (not inside the app) to understand how people discover Stang. IP addresses are anonymised and ad personalisation is disabled.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share your data with third parties beyond what's described above (Supabase for storage, Stripe for billing, Claude AI for insights/parsing).
- We don't track you inside the app.
AI features
When you use AI insights, your spending data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that processing. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@smbee.me and we'll process the request within 7 days.
